The staff was AMAZING! Friendly, knowledgable, helpful-simply amazing! From the moment of check-in to check-out every person within the hotel was amazing. I have never had an experience like that at any other hotel (and I've traveled extensively). Firstly, our flight arrived early in the day, and we realized that the hotel may not be able to accommodate our early arrival, but to our surprise, they indeed were able to get us checked into our room a couple of hours early. Unfortunately, we had a single bed instead of two beds. The hotel staff immediately corrected it and got another room ready for us, which was an upgrade, still before the official check-in time. The room itself was renovated very nicely. We visited the 'cozy' pool and sauna, which again was clean and in good repair and had just enough space to be comfortable. The workout area was again clean and cozy. Next on the list was the wonderful daily breakfast. Fresh fruits, meats, smoked salmon, bread, coffee, pastel de nata. Zero complaints from my tummy. The hotel staff helped to make several arrangements for us upon request. Dinner reservations, tours, and taxis. One last thing to note is that the hotel location is within walking distance of almost everything. It's a great location. It sits on a pedestrian-only street atop a rather large cobblestone hill. Therefore, if the hotel arranges a taxi, that company is able to come right up to the hotel door to pick up and drop off, unlike Uber or some other transport services. I found it very beneficial to have the hotel arrange for airport pick-up and drop-off so one doesn't have to carry luggage up the hill. The cost was very similar to Uber or other transport services-only a 2Euro difference.

We were impressed with the Pousada Do Porto - Rua das Flores. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant to approach. At reception they were very informative of the historic area, assisted with restaurant recommendations and bookings, etc. The hotel is set right in the historic area on the main street. Although on a pedestrian street it is an easy walk with wheelie luggage from the Sao Bento taxi stand or if needed the taxi may drop to the door. The hotel is in an older building typical of Porto architecture, but is renovated with a modern and smart decor and vibe both in the common areas and rooms. The breakfast buffet offered an excellent choice, with cooked food, such as eggs, and bacon. It also serves cereal, pastries, cheese, yoghurt and fresh fruit etc. We were three people in the room with one person on a comfortable sofa bed. The room and bathroom were spacious enough. There were coffee/tea facilities in the room, as well as complimentary water. There is also a great bar in the reception with tables outside to enjoy a drink and enjoy the atmosphere. The convenience of the location makes it easy to walk to the main historic and cultural attractions, down to the port restaurants and shopping area. The immediate street outside the hotel has an array of clothes and jewellery shops, bakeries, restaurants and tourist shops. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Very close to lots of sites. It’s in a pedestrianised area but some taxis are allowed to come straight to the door. The breakfast was amazing. We had rooms facing the side, which meant it was very quiet, albeit no view. The Bathroom was large. There wasn’t much room between the end of the bed and the wall, but otherwise fine. The staff were all so helpful. Very impressed with them. We also enjoyed the little biscuit/cakes in the lobby each day and the chocolate on our bed each night. Wi-Fi worked well. We didn’t use the pool etc but it all looked very good.

Customer service is exceptional at this hotel! The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. We were greeted with a small bottle of port and dessert upon arrival. My birthday was a couple of days later (I didn't mention this to the hotel)....we were out all day and came back to a bottle of sparkling wine, dessert, and a birthday greeting from the hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful and the free breakfast was very tasty. The location is ideal for spending the day walking around.

Location, location location! A recently renovated historic building now a wonderful boutique hotel. Room was not large but very comfortable and well appointed. Toileteries were good quality and smelled divine. Excellent breakfast - hot and cold. Hotel staff very friendly, atrentive and helpful for anything you needed. Small. swimming pool and sauna but we never had time in five days to unwind - just too much to see! Would definitely recommend this hotel for a Porto break
